The All-Seeing Eye

Positioned at the top of the jewel, the All-Seeing Eye represents the constant presence of the Supreme Being. It reminds members that their thoughts and actions are always observed and should be guided by truth, integrity and virtue.

The Motto – Amor, Honor et Justitia

The Two Pillars

The Three Burning Candles

The three candles represent the Light of Masonry and are often associated with wisdom, knowledge and divine illumination. They remind Companions to continually seek truth and understanding.

The Pedestal or Obelisk

The tall pillar on the right symbolises permanence, endurance and the preservation of sacred knowledge throughout history.

The Dagger or Sword

The ceremonial blade represents justice, protection and the defence of truth. It serves as a reminder that honour should always be upheld.

The Scrolls

The unfurled scrolls represent ancient wisdom, sacred records and the preservation of important teachings handed down through generations.

Temple Flooring

The stepped stonework at the base represents the foundation of King Solomon's Temple and symbolises the solid moral foundations upon which Freemasonry is built.

The Temple Buildings

The buildings shown in the background reference the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, reminding Companions of the historical setting of Royal Arch Masonry and the rebuilding of the Temple.
